Work that’s built around people, not just products.

Our work is firmly anchored in understanding people—their goals, challenges, and contexts. Instead of leading with products, we lead with curiosity and care, taking the time to learn how our yarns are used in our clients' products. This approach allows us to create yarns that meet a diverse set of performance requirements, balancing durability, feel, functionality, and consistency across a wide range of applications.

The history and development of our organization

In the 1980s, Valson emerged as a leading supplier of dyed polyester yarns to India’s shirt-weaving industry. The company quickly earned a strong reputation for batch-to-batch shade consistency, exceptional brightness, and for setting color trends across the market. For many years, fashion cycles within the shirt-weaving industry were defined by Valson shade numbers. Building on this foundation, Valson steadily expanded into additional polyester segments—entering weaving in 1990, knitting in 1995, and nylon manufacturing in 2004.

Our founding director and his role in shaping our company

Our founding director, Mr. Shamlal Mehta, established more than a company—he established a standard. With an exceptional eye for detail and an uncompromising commitment to quality, he approached every process with rigor, believing that true consistency could only be achieved through careful planning, strict controls, and personal accountability. His disciplined approach became not only formed the backbone of our process control systems, but our company's culture, ensuring that consistency and excellence are built into every product we create.
