Dobby cloth is a woven fabric produced on a specialized dobby loom. The technique and the loom first emerged in the 1840s and they allowed the weaver to raise and lower the warp (vertical) threads individually, which in turn created small, distinctive, geometric patterns in the fabric. A dobby loom is capable of producing complex twills, satins, small geometric figures, and pattern stripes. It uses an electronic or mechanical device called a dobby to control the movements of up to 28 harnesses.

We produce dobby woven fabric for the shirting industry. We offer a wide range of designs with upto 8 colors in the weft. The fabric is made with compact-spun cotton combined with textured polyester and polycotton yarns, manufactured on Somet looms fitted with name-writer jacquard attachments for high resolution lettering on the selvedge. The fabric is supplied in its greige form.

Our dyed yarns are known for their signature pop, which carries over into the fabric, part of our initial success in the dyed yarns business.

Since we have an in-house dyeing plant, we are able to offer a much larger selection of shades for any given design than most standalone mills.

We have been in the weaving business for over thirty years. Our team's technical expertise ensures manufacturing within tight tolerances.
