Full-dull textured polyester yarns

Full dull polyester yarns are polyester yarns modified chemically or physically to reduce their luster. Typically this is through doping them with a delusterant. This is done in semi-dull yarns as well, and in small quantities in bright yarns, the amount being greater in full-dull yarns

Matte, cotton-like appearance

Our full-dull yarns are doped with ~2.5% titanium dioxide, which has twice the refractive index of PET, and so a portion of the light incident on the TiO2 particles is scattered, resulting in a dull, matte appearance.

For this matte and cotton-like appearance, full dull yarns are sometimes referred to as "Cotlook" yarns in the textured yarn industry.
